This student and I have been working together for a few months now- she's using her camera manually, seeing things that make her eyes happy, and I get to keep adding more ideas and content to her lessons. Although we are moving onto some video projects soon, I'm really liking how her eye is developing for stills. Hooray for learning!!!
KID STORY VIDEO / COLORFUL FAMILY PHOTOS
This incredibly kind little dancer is now a big brother to a beautiful babe named Jules. Before the baby came we took some family photos and made a kid story video for his cute family in warm California light. From how lovingly this kid bounced around us sharing his favorite treasures, songs, and dance moves, I imagine baby Jules is going to be very sweetly loved and cared for by him.

PHOTO CLASS FUN - STUDENT WORK
One of my photo students and I went on a fun photo walk recently, and it was lovely! I introduced some new concepts and ideas for her to test out now that she's shooting manually and telling the camera exactly what she wants it to do. Since she's doing so well, I've added a lot more to her future lessons and I am very excited to see what she comes up with next.

OUR SWEET GRANDMA
These are the last photos I took of my creative and ass-kicking grandma. Here she was testing out a charcoal pencil my wife and I got at her request, and after she let out a big “ahhh” while pressing it to the paper I snapped a few photos of her hands and face.
She was always my biggest cheerleader and pushed me to break rules and make new art even if it was just for me. Love and miss you my fiery and lovely Grandma. ✨
