Another successful camp at Kidsquest—we are grateful, and so are the cameras, because they love Kidsquest campers. It’s true, they told me.
This packed summer camp is always filled with talented and kind artists, and they were BACK this year. We got to meet sixteen (!!!) new photographers, ages 7-11, and spend a week teaching them how to control cameras manually vs automatically so we can control the cameras to make the photos look how THEY want them to.
With hands-on learning with our comically large camera collection, they learned the three main settings: aperture, shutter speed, and a wee bit of ISO. Also they practiced a bunch of composition tools, and started to learn types of light!
Ok, Here are some favorites from this camp, which is hard to pick just a few because there were so many cool ideas. The families and the museum, of course, get all the photos, split up into a gallery for each kid, because they worked so hard; they deserve to show them off! ok enjoy!!!
